The CEFE Tit Project is a long-term research programme on the ecology, behaviour and evolution of tits in contrasted landscapes.

Based at the Centre d’Écologie Fonctionnelle et Évolutive (CEFE) in Montpellier, the project was initiated in 1976 by Jacques Blondel. It now focuses on two species, the great tit (Parus major) and the blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus), monitored across several long-term study sites in Corsica and mainland France.

Over the years, the project has generated one of the longest-running individual-based datasets on wild birds, with currently seven permanent PIs investigating population dynamics, life-history variation, behaviour, physiology, and adaptation to environmental change.
